Christmas 2011

Since I am behind on blogging, I am putting pics in from the whole Christmas season together. We had a very busy (hence no time for blogging) and special time this Christmas. It was so much fun to celebrate Harper's first Christmas and explaining the meaning of Christmas to Marshall. We had a work Christmas party and a couple of Christmas parties at friends' houses.
We also went to the Bethlehem village in Georgetown, which was awesome. They had a village set-up in the town square where kids were able to help with pottery making, grinding grains, kneading dough. They also had shops where kids could learn about carpentry and coin making. Finally there was a live nativity, where a narrator told the Christmas story. Unfortunately we went at night and no pics were taken.
We were able to celebrate Christmas with the Rowans before they headed off on their skiing trip, then Grammie and Grandpa came up Christmas eve. Our church had a special service on Christmas eve at the children's shelter in town and there were activities for the kids including face painting and build-a-bear making), dinner and a service. It was awesome. Christmas morning was fun with the kids, a present opening frenzy. We had breakfast at home and later we went to my sister Yvonne's house for dinner. The next morning Nana and Papa came and showered the kids with gifts... round 2! One of Marshall's favorite gifts was his new remote-control car, which he plays with daily. It is especially fun to play with Daddy and his RC car that Marshall and Harper gave him.
